The call for grants for the implementation of the Participatory Local Development Strategy (EDLP) of the Comarca de la Ribera de Navarra (Measure 19.02.01), held last year, has been very well received.
During this call, a total of 55 projects were presented, of which 33 were awarded: 18 productive and 15 non-productive.
Our selected project
New decalcified water line for production process improvement
One of these productive projects approved within the call for “Aid for the Ribera de Navarra Region of Measure M19 (Participative Local Development-LEADER)”, within the framework of the Rural Development Programme of the Community of Navarra 2014-2020, was the project entitled “NEW LINE OF DECOALCIFIED WATER FOR IMPROVEMENT OF PRODUCTION PROCESSES”, requested by our company. The line of action of the project is the contribution to innovation in the artisanal agri-food value chain of local products.
Financing
A total of 55,856.25 euros has been invested to carry out this project during the year 2022:
- Financial assistance from the EU: 22,342.50 €.
- Aid from the EAFRD (65%): 14,522.63 €.
- Aid from the Government of Navarre (35%): 7,819.88 €.
Project results and benefits
This investment has allowed us to acquire osmosis-water softening machinery to improve our company’s production process. Osmosis water softeners filter and clean the water, so that the minerals contained in the water are absorbed by these filters and are easily dissolved.
For Alimentos Sanygran, this project will undoubtedly bring great benefits, as this machinery will guarantee the quality of the water in our facilities. Specifically, these are some of the benefits that we will be able to enjoy:
- Improving the taste of the water and, therefore, the taste of our products. The water is free of flavour, as the filtration process removes all the mineral residue that makes the water have a particular taste.
